Due to increased pupil numbers and additional learning needs, the school is now seeking an enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their team.
Role Purpose
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will support children in Nursery and Reception, helping them develop key skills in communication, early literacy, numeracy, and social interaction. You will work closely with teachers to support both group learning and targeted interventions.
You will also provide additional support to children with SEN, speech and language delay, EAL, and emotional or behavioural needs, ensuring inclusive access to learning.
Key Responsibilities
* Support EYFS learning activities in line with the EYFS framework
* Work with individual pupils and small groups to support development targets
* Support children with SEN and additional needs
* Assist with phonics, early reading, writing, and maths activities
* Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and confidence
* Support classroom routines and transitions
* Assist with outdoor learning and play-based activities
* Observe and record children’s progress and achievements
* Work collaboratively with EYFS staff, SENCO, and parents
* Support children’s personal care needs where required
* Maintain safeguarding, health, and safety standards
