Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Warehouse & Logistics Manager to lead a small team in a busy food manufacturing environment. This role will oversee the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring the safe storage, handling and dispatch of chilled and frozen products.
Key responsibilities:
* Manage a small team of warehouse operatives, setting goals and monitoring performance.
* Plan and coordinate the receipt, storage and dispatch of goods.
* Maintain stock accuracy and inventory control using ERP systems.
* Ensure warehouse processes meet food safety, allergen and hygiene standards.
* Schedule staff rotas and oversee training in safety, quality and operational procedures.
* Liaise with production, third-party warehouses and suppliers to ensure smooth stock movement.
* Motivate and organise the team to achieve productivity targets.
* Manage warehouse equipment, vehicles and mechanical handling equipment.
* Produce reports and monitor KPIs to support continuous improvement.
* Book transport with 3rd Part Suppliers
Skills & experience:
* Proven previous experience managing successful warehouse teams in a manufacturing or production environment.
* Strong people manager who enjoys motivating and developing teams and a positive culture.
* Food manufacturing and cold/chill experience would be highly advantageous.
* Strong understanding of inventory control, ERP systems and dispatch processes.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Hands-on, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
