Main duties of the job
* Work with a team of GPs, pharmacists, technicians, practice nurses, social prescribers, physiotherapists and registrars/students
* Liaise with clinicians and administrative staff to resolve medicines-related queries
* Monitor practice prescribing and adherence to local and national prescribing policies
* Improve service and quality through mechanisms such as audit
* Provide structured medication reviews, manage long term conditions and the management of medicines on transfer of care and systems for safer prescribing
* Manage repeat prescription authorisations and reauthorisation, acute prescription request

The clinical team currently consists of three salaried GPs, two physician associates, two practice nurses, one nurse associate and three health care assistants, clinical pharmacists, social prescribing team, physiotherapists and a mental health link worker.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered pharmacy technician with the GPhC
* Hold a Diploma Level 3 in pharmacy services, or equivalent
Experience
* Strong experience working as a pharmacy technician
* Ability to prioritise workload and manage time efficiently
* Understanding data protection, confidentiality and safeguarding principles
