As part of our planned maintenance team, you’ll look after planned works and large projects, making sure they’re delivered safely on time, and on budget. With outstanding technical knowledge, you’ll keep our contractors on board to deliver first‑class work.

In your role you’ll
* Deliver planned improvement programmes for preventative and cyclical maintenance, keeping them on time and on budget.
* Manage fire remediation and other projects from start to finish.
* Keep accurate records of completed work and inspections.
* Inspect work to make sure it meets building and health and safety regulations.
* Review risk assessments and method statements to make sure they’re up to standard.
* Make sure all projects meet CDM regulations.
* Reconcile and settle final accounts and valuations, agreeing and paying interim valuations for major works, dealing with contractual disputes, extensions of time and variations and
* Analyse financial information and manage the budget.
* Supervise inspections, liaising with consultants and making sure procedures are followed.
* Work closely with the Development team to resolve latent defect issues in newer buildings.
* Resolve queries and complaints quickly and accurately so we can deliver first‑class service for every project, home and customer, every time.
* Carry out tendering processes in line with our financial regulations, including carrying out electronic procurement.
* Keep our customers informed, clearly communicating complex project information.
* Remain curious to find better ways of working to improve the customer experience, seeking, and listening to feedback and using it as an opportunity to do things better.
* Take responsibility for your own development and look for ways to stretch your thinking in and out of the organisation.
* Be brilliant at the basics, knowing your role, your systems, your service and your customers and contractors inside out.
* Drive with a full valid UK driving licence so you can travel to our sites.
* Carry out any other reasonable tasks to deliver great service.
Connect with how you’ll do it
We’re looking for someone with experience of:
* Building maintenance, specifications, and using diagnostic techniques to
* Managing fire remediation works, including legal and/or warranty claims.
* Supporting the implementation, procurement, delivery, and supervision of maintenance contracts.
* Construction standard suites of contracts – JCT.
* Managing contractors and consultants to successfully complete projects.
* Managing a project team, undertaking technical inspections, producing tender briefs, pricing documents, and managing projects, ideally in a social housing environment.
* Looking at buildings from a holistic perspective, considering energy performance and future uses.
Education:
* Technical qualification in building surveying or a related technical subject, to degree level or equivalent.
* Accredited by Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors or Chartered Surveyor/Institute of Building.
It’d blow us away if you had:
* Knowledge of structural repairs and cladding remediation.
* Experience of claiming funds via the building safety fund.
* Specialist qualifications relating to fire safety.
* Experience in options appraisals for buildings and/ or estates.
