Part-Time Art & Design Technology Teacher Required - September Start
We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and dedicated Art & Design Technology Teacher to join our team from September on a part-time, ongoing basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an inspiring teacher who is passionate about developing students' creativity, practical skills, and confidence in Art and Design Technology.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Art and Design Technology lessons in line with the curriculum.
* Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
* Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
* Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
* Support students of varying abilities and learning needs.
* Maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour.
* Prepare and organise materials, equipment, and resources for practical lessons.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures within workshops and art studios.
* Contribute to departmental planning, meetings, and school events as required.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Experience teaching Art and/or Design Technology at secondary school level.
* Strong subject knowledge and a passion for creative education.
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
* Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Desirable
* Experience teaching across a range of year groups.
* Knowledge of current curriculum requirements and assessment practices.
* Ability to teach both Art and Design Technology disciplines.
