Job Description Job Title: Responsible Individual, Children’s Residential Services Location: Gloucestershire Pay rate: £61,174 - £66,223 per annum Contract type: Permanent, full-time (37 hours per week) About your role as the Responsible Individual, Children’s Residential Services : You will be the appointed Responsible Individual (RI) and oversee a range of in-house regulated residential provisions Hold line management responsibility for the registered managers (RM’s) for all of the services Work closely with statutory agencies, key partners and voluntary/community groups to achieve shared aims of improving the lived experience and outcomes for children and young people cared for by the Local Authority As the council expands their residential portfolio, you will help navigate the initial stages of the home being opened. All managers have been recruited to posts so your responsibilities will include mentoring and supporting staff. Your required experience as Responsible Individual, Children’s Residential Services : Qualified Social Worker or equivalent residential qualification (Level 5) Experience working within Children’s Residential Services in a managerial capacity in a local authority setting. Significant previous experience and knowledge within regulations and legislation of Children’s Residential Homes. Ability to challenge others constructively and make informed decisions.
