About the Role
The Head of Market Analysis leads the development of market intelligence and insight for the global aviation industry. This role sets direction across research, forecasting, and analytics, helping clients make informed, forward‑looking decisions using data‑driven insight.
The role can be based in London, Dublin, New York, Hong Kong, or Tokyo, with flexibility for the right candidate. You will work as part of a global consultancy team whose work informs industry understanding and strategic planning.
Responsibilities
* Set the strategic direction for market analysis and intelligence, evolving capabilities toward scalable, predictive, and insight‑driven solutions.
* Lead research into global aviation trends, market dynamics, regulation, and competitive landscapes, considering economic, environmental, and geopolitical factors.
* Deliver advisory projects including market analysis, forecasting, scenario modelling, route analysis, and strategic planning.
* Translate complex analytical outputs into clear, practical insights for senior decision‑makers.
* Partner with data science, product, and technology teams to develop and enhance data‑driven intelligence products.
* Contribute to industry outputs such as fleet forecasts and market commentaries.
* Support business development through proposals, client presentations, and thought leadership.
* Advise clients on strategic initiatives such as transformation, organisational change, and operational effectiveness.
* Coach and support the development of colleagues across the team.
Requirements
* Significant experience in market analysis, consulting, analytics, or a related field.
* Experience working with large datasets and applying analysis to business or strategic questions.
* Ability to communicate complex information clearly to a range of audiences.
* Comfort working with modern analytics tools and cloud‑based data environments; experience with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Bloomberg is helpful but not required.
* Experience in aviation, financial services, or consulting is valued, but transferable experience from other sectors is welcome.
* Strong collaboration skills and experience working with international or cross‑functional teams.
* Fluency in written and spoken English; additional languages are welcome but not required.
* Relevant formal education or equivalent professional experience is accepted. The level of appointment will reflect experience and capability.
