Senior Facilities Manager
Location: Embankment, London (fully on-site)
Contract: 6 months (potential to extend)
Rate: £21.46 per hour, 36 hours/week
A central government body in Embankment is seeking a Senior Facilities Manager for a 6-month role overseeing daily operations and supporting long-term estates planning. This hands-on role suits someone with strong organisation, communication, strategic and problem-solving skills, whether from FM or a related operational background.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage FM operations, suppliers, and space planning
Draft internal guidance, reports, and business cases
Oversee contract performance and value-for-money delivery
Support office moves, estates strategy, and smarter working
Lead on H&S, sustainability, and compliance
Build stakeholder relationships and mentor junior staff
What We're Looking For:
Strong written communication and organisational skills
Confident working with suppliers, stakeholders, and contracts
Proactive, with good judgement and initiative
Experience in FM, ops, estates, or project support
Desirable:
Project planning (e.g. PRINCE2), H&S or sustainability knowledge, public sector experience
