Health & Safety Manager
Our client is a large distribution company experiencing significant growth in the marketplace. They are seeking an enthusiastic Health & Safety Manager based on the outskirts of Glasgow. The ideal candidate will have experience motivating and leading employees to understand the importance of H&S culture and promote safe practices.
The successful candidate will identify, coordinate, and implement improvements in safety, quality, and productivity, working closely with Operational Management teams and under the guidance of the Head of Safety. Requirements include a minimum of NEBOSH General Certificate and at least 5 years’ experience in construction, offshore, transport, or utilities industries, particularly in heavy industry environments.
This role is a key part of the management team. As a visible leader and client liaison, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. You will develop and deliver the Health & Safety agenda across the company and contribute to sustainability initiatives towards carbon net-zero. Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels is crucial.

Minimum Requirements
* Extensive Health & Safety experience, ideally in warehouse/transport sectors; heavy industry experience is also acceptable
* NEBOSH Diploma in Health & Safety or equivalent (candidates working towards the diploma will be considered)
* Environmental qualification and/or IEMA membership (desirable)
* DGSA and ADR experience (advantageous)
* Knowledge of EU & UK H&S legislation
* Ability to conduct accident/incident investigations, including root cause analysis and reporting
* Full UK driving license
