Fundraising welcome call volunteer

Phillack
Cornwall Hospice Care
Fundraiser
Posted: 28 July
Offer description

Our Cornish charity provides 24/7 support for people with terminal illnesses, caring for patients and their families at Mount Edgcumbe Hospice in St Austell and at St Julia’s Hospice in Hayle and supporting people in the community at our Neighbourhood Hubs, local venues and over the phone.

It costs £6.2 million to keep our two hospices open and our all our services available. Only £1.1 million representing 17.3% of this is funded through a contribution by our local NHS trust. The other £5.1 million is raised via the support of amazing people in Cornwall who leave us legacies, support fundraising events, make donations, play our lottery and visit our shops.

We want to let our supporters know that we appreciate them and would like to say thank you for their support in a friendly, low cost and personal way. As a Welcome Call Volunteer you will make telephone calls to engage with our new supporters and take the opportunity during the call to ask a few questions, to get valued opinions which will help us understand our supporters and encourage feedback. This will enable our Fundraising team to improve our service to make sure our fundraising in the community is done to the very best of our ability.
