Managing Director
North East based – process manufacturing 6 figure basic + generous bonus & package. To drive forward the development of a well‑established, £100m+ leading manufacturer, we are recruiting a Managing Director.
Main Responsibilities
* Reporting into a global corporation, the Managing Director will enjoy a high level of autonomy in the day‑to‑day running of this busy manufacturing plant.
* Whilst managing the demands of reporting into a global corporation and driving the vision and long‑term strategic plans, the Managing Director will remain hands‑on in their management of all functions, to include Operations, Engineering, HS&E, Purchasing, Finance, Sales, HR and IT.
* With an agile manufacturing process, the role is heavily Operations driven and supports Plant Management in driving efficiencies and fostering Continuous Improvement in Operations and Health and Safety.
Candidate Profile
* Ideally educated to degree level in Engineering or Business, as General Manager, Managing Director or Operations Director, you have gained significant Operations leadership experience in agile, process manufacturing environments.
* It is essential that you have experience leading, supporting and mentoring large teams across functions.
* Equally essential is the experience navigating the demands of a global corporation.
* A long‑term strategic thinker, you are well‑versed in change management and are accustomed to adapting your strategy and direction under changing macroeconomic factors.
* You are highly resilient, self‑sufficient and pragmatic. You thrive on running businesses successfully through the engagement and development of people.
