Job Overview
Oxford University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Deputy Matron for Surgery, Women's & Oncology Theatres. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced perioperative practitioner to advance their career, thrive on challenges, and work across multiple sites including the Churchill Cancer Centre, Women’s Centre, and Horton Hospital in Banbury.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide transformational leadership and change management across theatres and surgical services.
* Support clinical governance, health & safety, staff management, and development.
* Create new patient pathways and optimize theatre utilization.
* Work collaboratively with the Matron, Directorate Manager, and Clinical Director.
Candidate Requirements
* Extensive theatre experience and previous managerial experience in a peri-operative environment.
* Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and proactive team player with proven leadership and management skills.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate and lead across multiple sites.
* Flexible, adaptable, and aligned with NHS and Trust values.
