#Job Summary
It is expected that all Engineers will possess proven experience of dealing with electro-mechanical faults and preventative maintenance operations within a warehouse environment. Reporting to the Site Manager/Supervisor, the Engineer will be eager, though safety-conscious, with a track record of owning problems and taking them through to successful completion. Every team member will be required to respond out of hours in an emergency situation. This emergency cover will be scheduled within the team and is not a permanent requirement. European travel for training may be required.
#Key responsibilities
1. Mechanical strip-down/re-assembly, basic field wiring, machine calibration, and system testing.
2. Day to day maintenance of site MHE to a high standard.
3. Manage time via CMMS to achieve over 90% utilization.
4. Continuously improve all aspects of equipment, be health and safety conscious.
5. Complete reactive repairs within timeframes.
6. Interact with on-site management, keeping them informed of repair and maintenance progress and addressing their concerns professionally.
7. Service and repair current installed products, demonstrating hands-on ownership to achieve quick resolutions.
8. Interpret electrical circuit diagrams and work with 415V motor controls.
9. Carry out risk assessments, appreciating Health & Safety considerations.
10. Mechanical aptitude, including reading assembly drawings.
11. Operate hand tools and assemble parts onto equipment.
12. Follow setup instructions, assembly drawings, and checklists.
13. Pay attention to detail and exhibit excellent follow-up skills.
14. Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
15. Appreciate control systems.
16. Willingness to learn and adapt to changing role requirements.
17. Respect cultural diversity.
18. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and within the customer organization.
19. Present KPI-based monthly reviews to key stakeholders.
#Skills, qualifications, and experience
1. NVQ/BTEC/C&G Level 3 in Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
2. Understanding of Non-Destructive Technologies and Testing.
3. Understanding of PLCs and their functions.
4. Pneumatic and Hydraulic knowledge beneficial.
5. Basic Microsoft Office skills; computer literate.
6. Experience with CMMS systems and engineering stores.
7. HNC/HND or equivalent is desirable.
