Job Introduction
* Various shifts - typically 4 on / 4 off rotation, up to 12 hours per shift
* £12.75 hourly rate

You will play a critical role in maintaining a secure, safe, and positive environment for all employees, visitors, and clients. This position requires a dependable individual who can remain alert, enforce site protocols, and respond effectively to various situations. You’ll be a visible presence on site, combining vigilance with excellent customer service to support Sodexo’s commitment to operational excellence and safety.
* Maintain professionalism, be pleasant, friendly, courteous, and helpful at all times while carrying out duties of the highest standard.
* Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, keeping customers informed throughout.
* Assist clients, contractors, and visitors, ensuring all site procedures and policies are followed.
* Liaise with statutory authorities, handle incidents, and provide necessary information.
* Monitor site radio systems continuously, following correct procedures.
* Maintain site records, including incident reports, reference materials, and occurrence logs.
* Develop strong working relationships with on-site clients.
What You Will Bring
* A valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) Licence – essential for this role.
* A strong sense of responsibility and integrity, with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and approachable manner.
* Good observational skills and attention to detail.
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* A proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative.
* Basic IT skills and confidence with security systems, radios, and reporting tools.
