Electrical Engineer role at Thermatic Technical FM. This is a full-time mobile electrical engineer role, remote work across the North West. A full UK driving licence is required.
This role supports the effective, efficient, and safe delivery of client services by attending client sites to conduct planned and reactive maintenance.
Thermatic Technical FM provides nationwide coverage across the full spectrum of Hard FM services to large, commercial clients. Our team of mobile engineers is supported by the account teams at Head Office to provide both reactive breakdown and planned maintenance services to our clients.
Hours & Location of Work
Main location – this is a fully mobile role covering the North West and surrounding areas.
Regular hours of work – Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm (40 hours). Out of hours maintenance may be required as dictated by client needs.
On Call – 24 hour on-call rota on a maximum 1 week in 4 schedule (Friday–Thursday).
Responsibilities
* Undertaking all aspects of electrical installation, commissioning, fault finding, and maintenance.
* Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance in accordance with Thermatic’s PPM and task schedules as directed by the Help Desk and/or management team.
* Providing accurate timesheet information within designated timeframes.
* Carrying out basic facilities maintenance tasks as required.
* Supporting team members including acting as second-man where required.
* Participating in a 24 hour call out rota.
* Attending team meetings or briefings as required.
* Supporting contract teams with meeting SLAs by attending client premises within the desired timeframe.
* Maintaining positive client relationships through on-site interactions with representatives and customers of our clients.
* Assisting office-based staff with producing quotations by providing accurate and good quality information where extra works are identified.
* Producing technical and situational reports as required.
* Escalating any major site issues or incidents via the appropriate channel within acceptable timeframes.
* Supporting the training and upskilling of junior service engineers.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
* City & Guilds 2360 / 2330 Parts 1, 2, & 3, JIB approved electrician, or NVQ Level 3 equivalent
* City & Guilds 2391 Electrical Inspection and Testing
* IPAF & PASMA
* Part P Electrical certificate
* Working knowledge of BS7671, 18th Edition Electrical Installation Regulations & associated legislative standards
* Working knowledge of Building Regulations
* Sound understanding and experience of meeting Health & Safety obligations regarding maintenance activities
* Asbestos Awareness
* PV experience – desirable, not essential
* Full UK driving licence
