Job description
The post holder will be responsible for the management, training and delivery of RQF assessments/Internal Quality Assurance within Maternity Services in a range of hospitals/community. They will be required to work across all Trusts. They will liaise and take direction from the manager of the vocational workforce assessment centre.
Responsibilities
* Be occupationally competent to assess and fulfil the requirements of the Peripatetic Assessor in line with the code of practice for Regulated Qualification Framework assessment.
* To prepare and deliver, training and workshops to equip learners with the knowledge they require to complete their Regulated Qualification Framework qualification.
* To assess the learner’s knowledge, understanding and skills required to undertake Regulated Qualification Framework Diploma in Health and Social Care (Maternity).
* To ensure practices are adhered to as laid down in Trusts Policy, Code of Practice and Standards for Maternity Support Workers and Awarding Body Standards.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
* Registered Midwife on the live NMC Register.
* Have at least 3 years post registration experience as a midwife within the last 5 years.
* Hold a D32/D33 or A1 Assessors Award or Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement OR be willing to undertake and successfully complete this upon commencement.
Desirable Skills
* Experience of delivering Learning and Development within Maternity setting.
