Responsibilities
Production Operator/Packer - Temp to Perm
Position based in Kenfig Industrial Estate near Port Talbot, within a global manufacturing company.
Summary
* Operate machines efficiently to produce quality products on time with minimal waste.
* Support the Production Manager in continuous development and process improvements.
Key Points
* Ensure customer requirements from the Job Specification sheet are met.
* Operate machines and ancillary processes continuously during shifts.
* Prepare ongoing processes such as mixing and granulation.
* Record in-process checks and ensure all results meet Job Specification requirements. Certify finished products for dispatch.
* Meet all packaging and identification needs of the customer.
* Ensure all dispatch and warehousing needs are fulfilled.
Additional Responsibilities
* Maintain and correctly use machinery; ensure materials are properly accounted for and used efficiently.
* Conduct formal performance appraisals annually; identify training needs through skills analysis and on-the-job reviews.
* Ensure in-process inspections, labeling, and packing conform to specifications; review deviations with quality control and responsible team members.
* Provide support to other areas, including granulation and out-of-hours work as needed.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Encourage process and system improvements through team ideas.
Qualifications
* Manufacturing experience is beneficial but not required.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
