PLANNING ENFORCEMENT OFFICER

1 x full time (37 hours per week)

Salary: £27,410 to £34,116 (career graded) 3 to 4 (dependent upon experience & qualifications)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Planning Enforcement Team as a Planning Enforcement Officer. This post involves the investigation, monitoring, and enforcement of unauthorised development in the district, to maintain the integrity of planning policies of the Council and to protect the community's interests.

The role wide consists of a wide and varied range of development issues and deal primarily with enforcement actions under the Planning & Listed Building Acts. The Enforcement officer role is an essential part of delivering and supporting the planning service.

You will be a conscientious and analytical person who will be responsible for your own case load, which involves site visits, collaborative working with other officers and you will be responsible for a diverse workload, for which organisational and communication skills are essential.

A full driving licence and use of a car for work purposes is required, for which an essential user allowance will be payable.
