The Field Service Engineer will perform regular maintenance tasks on Client’s equipment and machinery to prevent unnecessary issues from cropping up and to ensure the longevity of all Machinery. Attending machine breakdowns and
diagnosing faults to remedy or repair equipment.
Advising and sourcing parts required to remedy / repair. Providing training to Clients employees and installing /
commissioning machinery. Field service engineers must provide exceptional customer service at all times.
Job responsibilities:
• Your appointments will be displayed on the Companies Service schedule, you are responsible for checking which appointments are booked for you before attending site.
• You will ensure that you are in regular communication with the Service Coordinator to update on Job progress and completion.
•Assisting / advising service colleagues as and when required and Offer telephone support to Clients from time to time as and when required.
• Training users on how to use new and used equipment or systems and safe working procedures also offering technical support where needed.
• Delivering and collecting parts required to service / repair Customer’s
equipment.
• Lunch, where possible should be taken at the customers premises
• Completed jobs must be called in to the Service team Coordinator and, if appropriate, follow-on work may be issued.
• Installing, removing and commissioning, de-commissioning of new and used machinery.
• Performing regular maintenance tasks, such as oil & filter changes, calibration and alignment to Customers’ equipment.
• Responding to booked service & Breakdown callouts in a timely and professional manner and ensuring that all reported issues are resolved to Customer’s satisfaction.
• Installing and setting up of tooling and blades in client’s machinery.
• Documenting all work by completing service reports, service inspection reports & Timesheets.
Skills:
• Experience troubleshooting issues with press brakes
• Ability to correctly diagnose machinery faults, mechanical, hydraulic and electrical and source parts required to rectify / repair.
• Ability to carry out machine safety checks and services including completion of service reports and service inspection reports.
• Working to Clients’ Health and safety and task specific risk assessments and also any site-specific PPE requirements.
• A full UK driving license
