What You'll Do:
As a Lead Mechanical Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in designing optimised HVDC substation layouts, integrating all necessary equipment while considering installation, operation, and maintenance constraints.
Key Responsibilities include:
Lead primary and secondary design engineering for substations/HVDC stations
Ensure timely delivery of engineering deliverables in compliance with safety regulations and contracts
Translate project contracts into technical specifications and manage project planning
Review, validate, and optimise engineering deliverables, including substation and building layouts
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, support project activities, and provide technical expertise to stakeholders
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
Minimum 5 years' experience with substations/HVDC stations
Proficient in contract/project management
Skilled in Autodesk CAD tools with understanding of civil engineering
Demonstrated leadership skills
What Else You Need to Know:
This is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office and 2 days at home (early finish Friday).
