Turners (Soham) Ltd is the UK’s largest privately owned transport company. We are looking to recruit a Transport Planner, to be based at our Larkhall site.
This an exciting opportunity for a career in the logistics industry within a well-established distribution company.
The main functions of the role are:-
• Planning collections and deliveries.
• Scheduling the fleet ensuring drivers are allocated to vehicles and loads.
• Ensuring drivers are on track with their deliveries and collections.
• Dealing with any problems drivers may have while out on the road and liaising with the end customer.
• Administration support with tasks such as order entry, data input and cost control.
Requirements:
• Educated to minimum Higher Grade standard
• Computer literate
• Good organisational skills
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm but can be discussed further in interview stage.
