About This Opportunity
We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to join us as an Early Years Finance Officer. The role will work within the Early Years and Sufficiency Team to support Cumberland Council to meet its statutory duties to fund early years providers delivering government funded early years places.
You must be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team, to ensure Cumberland Council and service users are compliant with statutory guidance when claiming early years funding. The role will require you to work to critical deadlines throughout the year.
We are looking for someone who is able to work with complex Excel spreadsheets and local and national online systems (training will be provided).
You must have good attention to detail and be able to analyse and interpret data to ensure accurate funding claims are processed.
You must be able to communicate well with service users to provide information, advice and guidance via email, online, telephone and if required in person.
This role is available on a permanent basis. Although it is full-time, a job share arrangement may be considered.
