Position
Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) – part‑time, two days a week.
Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate SENCO to join our leadership team in a non‑class‑based capacity. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all pupils with additional needs receive the support, challenge, and opportunities they need to thrive. Working closely with staff, parents, and external agencies, the SENCO will lead the strategic development of inclusive practice across the school, oversee the identification and assessment of pupils with SEND, and coordinate high‑quality provision that enables every child to make strong progress.

Key Responsibilities
 * Identify and assess pupils with SEND and develop individualised support plans.
 * Lead the strategic development of inclusive practice across the school.

 * Liaise with staff, parents, and external agencies to support pupils’ educational needs.
 * Champion inclusion and achievement for all learners.
Essential Qualifications
 * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
 * Recent experience of working in primary schools
 * NPQ for SENCOs or NASENCO qualification
Desirable Qualifications
 * Further qualifications and/or studies relevant to the age range
 * CCRS / CTC
 * First aid certificate
