The South Ockendon plant is a high profile site within the Chep UK network, processing 5 million pallets per year and employing 130 staff. It has had significant investment in recent years, and has a highly motivated and capable team. We are looking for a Continuous Improvement Lead to complete our Site Leadership Team, and to help shape our journey from Good to Great. The Plant CI Lead will drive the continuous improvement implementation within the South Ockendon Service Centre. It will develop the site roadmap to build CI capability and culture aligned to the Global Supply Chain Excellence guidelines. It will lead and mentor CI initiatives, and be responsible to generate a healthy pipeline of projects and initiatives in line with the company's strategies and goals. Key areas include developing 5S and supporting 5S champions in the network. The role will also involve training, coaching and mentoring employees on CI methods and tools. In addition, they will be responsible for monitoring 5S & CI KPIs and metrics, and reporting on progress. Key Skills and Experience required to be successful: Previous experience as Continuous Improvement Lead working with cross functional team to deliver change Six Sigma Green Belt, or other similar qualification desirable At least 3 years of direct management experience in a supply chain discipline e.g., logistics, operations, planning, manufacturing Experience of using 5S/LEAN/Six Sigma processes to deliver solutions.
