Job Description
At WithYou, Pharmacy Technicians form the heart of the Medicines Management team. Working as a Pharmacy Technician in a WithYou service is a varied and rewarding role. The successful candidate will have hands‑on involvement in all aspects of clinical operations, from harm reduction work (including needle and syringe provision services) to working closely alongside clinicians and community pharmacies to ensure continuity of service to our clients. The role will also include support with clinical incident management and prescription handling and will involve medicating clients daily on the wings with OSTs.
This is a full‑time and permanent role, working over 7 days and 1 in 3 weekends, as below:
* Working 37.5 hours over 4 days a week
* Shifts: Day 1 – 13 hours, Day 2 – 8.5 hours, Day 3 – 8.5 hours, Day 4 – 7.5 hours
You will be a compassionate and motivated Pharmacy Technician, registered with the GPhC and holding the NVQ Level 3 Pharmacy Services BTEC Pharmacy Technician or equivalent. Ideally, you will have a minimum of two years’ post‑qualification experience, although we are open to conversations with all suitably qualified candidates, as full training will be given. Working knowledge of substance misuse would be advantageous.
This is a busy team, with multiple priorities ongoing, so it’s important that you are highly organised and able to manage your time effectively. You will have strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to respond to sudden unexpected demands.
