We are currently looking to recruit a Logistics Administrator to join a busy and rapidly expanding logistics/transport company. The Logistics Administrator role requires someone who is proficient in customs compliance paperwork and all associated admin in the customs process, whilst also liaising with both the customer and business to ensure all documentation is correct for the transportation of goods. Salary: Up to £28,000 Hours: 8:30am - 5:30pm Free parking available Logistics Administrator duties: Working alongside all areas of the business - liaising transport, bookings, customs, warehouse and of course, clients/customers Providing each customer with the relevant information/custom requirements relating to the country they are moving to Taking responsibility for Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, Holland, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden and Norway. Allocating each client to spreadsheets Providing ongoing support to clients regarding queries Liaising with Customs Agents once all paperwork for each client has been received and validated against relevant criteria Identifying and assisting customers having difficulty in gaining paperwork Work with the EU Operations Manager to prioritise countries of focus when trips are almost at capacity Continually reviewing the efficiency/costs Keeping all clients updated about the stage of their move Acting as lead for delivery dates/times of arrival to come from UK/EU Operations Managers Booking shuttles and hotels as needed for crew in Europe/nights out Raising purchase order requests for all aspects relating to operations, such as shuttle vehicles, custom charges and hotels booked for the crew Ensuring rates are competitive The role will also involve providing support and updates to various parts of the business in relation to: Move dates on new and existing bookings Information gathering and data checking Gaining custom clearance Ensuring all details obtained are checked and verified within deadlines Ensuring all moves are a smooth transition for all involved and always consider the customer as a priority Logistics Administrator compentencies: Customs clearance experience Solid administration skills Good decision maker, practical and common-sense approach Calm under pressure and who has a great ability to deal with all areas of a business and all variety of clients Dealing with problems in a calm and practical way Lots of opportunities can be available if desired in this growing and award-winning company!
