Our partnership at Heathrow continues to grow and as such the Costain Heathrow team are looking for a MEP Electrical Package manager to join the ARP Rail team.The MEP Electrical Package Manager will be responsible for all electrical works across all rail projects of the ARP programme of works. The electrical package manager will work closely with the other MEP package managers in the co-ordination of the management of the phasing of the MEP enabling, Temporary works and Permanent works to the required project programme. The role requires collaboration with Costain’s supply chain, HAL supply chain and HAL project management team. This position offers up the opportunity to demonstrate Costain’s capability and values to grow the Costain account at Heathrow to ensure a future pipeline of work for our organisation and growing talent within the team.Responsibilities:Working with the project disciplines to work as one team with our partner ‘be collaborative’.Putting the safety and wellbeing of the team and the airport at the heart of everything you do.Oversee the Electrical packages across all rail projects.Ensure all works are carried in line with the “Costain way” with regards to SHE and Quality systems.Oversee the supply chain implementation of the Electrical Safe systems of works and maintain regular checks through out the programme of works.Review Tender submissions and assist the Procurement team in awarding Electrical packages.Ensure that the Electrical proposals are developed and aligned with other project functions and disciplines. Ensure that the proposals are cascaded and understood by the delivery team.Support and review the electrical design submissions and provide comments where required. Assist in the Preparation of the Temporary MEP Management plan (Mobilisation, Procurement, Installation, Test & Commission and safe removal of all services) including gaining of all governance approvalsManage the Electrical Packages of Works through ECI subcontract through the design phase and lead contract negotiations with the subcontractor (s) for the delivery of the construction phase Identify Electrical delivery team resource requirements to suit the needs of the contract and work with the Project People team to recruit necessary resources Input into Electrical related procurement including identifying long lead time and high-risk items and products to secure the delivery in line with requirementsEnsure the interfaces with relevant stakeholders or identified and managedDevelopment and submission of construction phase plans for MEP WorksEnsure the subcontractor(s) maintains and keeps up to date records of all installation Testing and Maintenance.Skills and Experience:Experience in a similar level role, responsible for the delivery of Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health systems including management, procurement, design, construction, testing, commissioning and handover. A professional qualification or degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or related subject Strong leadership, communication and conflict management skills
