Job Description

The Stock control Team Leader role is to support the stock control Manager in delivering the daily customer requirements for the customer, in terms of reporting and stock management. The stock control Team leader will also undertake duties relating to general stock management and inventory control as directed by the Stock Manager, duties include (but are not limited to) as listed below.

Key Duties;

1. Maintaining processes to promote stock integrity.
2. Supporting the operations team to achieve product batch integrity.
3. Investigating all stock related discrepancies, adjusting stock levels where applicable and providing trend analysis for the same.
4. Working closely with the operations team at all levels to drive continuous improvement in terms of stock accuracy.
5. Ensuring processes and reporting meet both the customers' daily needs and contractually agreed targets.
6. Performing stock checks as per customers' requirements, and management of any internal or external audit requests.
7. Sponsoring training and development for the stock team.
8. Maintaining pick and reserve location requirements to match the sales activity throughputs.
9. Suggesting updates and changing the system as appropriate for the quality system to remain relevant.
10. Creating and maintaining an environment that encourages employee participation and effective team working.
11. Ensuring employees are involved in the success of the operation through continual feedback and positive communication.
12. Promoting high standards of hygiene and housekeeping and ensuring compliance to all legislative Health requirements.
13. Understanding and working within the standards required within the Quality Management System.

Qualifications

14. Experience of managing or working within a stock and process team environment is desirable.
15. Experience of managing a team, preferably across a shift system.
16. Warehouse or supply chain background.
17. Experience of working with luxury brands or FMCG products would be helpful. Likewise working with SKU's that have seasonal peaks.
18. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, Excel at Intermediate or above.
19. Drive, determination and a track record in delivering continuous improvement
20. Having worked directly with customers would be an advantage
21. Ability to deliver to tight deadlines in an organised and calm manner.
22. Experience of working with dynamic SKU profiles, and high peak volumes.
23. Autostore WMS experience a distinct advantage.
