About the Role
The Senior Administrator – Billing & Queries plays a key role in ensuring accurate billing, timely resolution of customer queries and strong support to the wider finance and collections teams. You will act as a point of expertise within billing administration, dealing with complex transactions while ensuring compliance with internal controls and audit requirements. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external customers to maintain high standards of service, data quality and operational efficiency.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Leading and developing a team of 2 direct reports
* Processing customer billing accurately and in line with company policies and deadlines
* Managing and resolving billing and invoice queries within agreed service levels
* Investigating discrepancies and liaising with internal teams to identify root causes
* Maintaining accurate records and supporting audit and compliance requirements
* Supporting the collections team by ensuring billing data is correct and up to date
* Producing reports and providing information to stakeholders as required
* Managing documentation and supporting continuous improvement in billing processes
* Building effective working relationships with internal teams and external customers

Qualifications & Experience
* Proven experience in a billing, finance administration or transactional role
* Experience working within a shared services or high-volume processing environment
* Strong working knowledge of financial systems and Microsoft Office (Excel essential)
* Understanding of audit, compliance and control requirements
* A relevant qualification (such as AAT, NVQ or equivalent experience) would be advantageous
