Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:
We are a diverse group of adults aged from 26 to over 50. Our service provides personalised support for people with Autism and Learning Disabilities. There are 12 self‑contained apartments in our building, designed to help each of us live as independently as possible while still having support close by.
We all have our own interests and routines. Some of us enjoy spending time in the communal lounge and socialising with others, while others prefer quiet time in the sensory room or relaxing in the garden. We also enjoy getting out into the community—going shopping, having meals or coffee, and taking part in local activities.
Staff may support us with a range of activities including puzzles, crafts, singing, walks, and days out. We appreciate being encouraged to try new things, as this helps us grow in confidence and independence.
We value staff teams who are kind, caring, friendly, and able to think creatively. Having people who understand us, support our goals, and help us feel comfortable makes a big difference.
Our current staffing levels include 14 staff on during the daytime and 5 staff at night. We cover a variety of shift patterns, including long days, shorter day shifts, waking nights, and the occasional sleep‑in.
