A warm and inclusive primary school in Bedford is seeking a Reception Teacher to join their Early Years team full-time from September 2025. This role is initially for one term, with the potential to extend for the right candidate.
This welcoming school has a strong focus on early childhood development, offering a stimulating and supportive environment for both pupils and staff. You’ll be joining a collaborative and experienced team dedicated to providing a high-quality early education experience.
The successful teacher will take full responsibility for a Reception class, supporting children as they begin their school journey and build essential foundations for future learning.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging, play-based learning aligned to the EYFS framework
* Foster a positive, caring, and inclusive classroom environment
* Monitor and record progress, using observations to inform planning
* Communicate effectively with families and support staff
* Uphold safeguarding standards and promote pupil wellbeing
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Recent experience teaching in Early Years/Foundation Stage
* Sound understanding of the EYFS curriculum and assessment
* A warm, enthusiastic, and patient teaching style
* Strong classroom management and communication skills
