Principal Jetty/Coastal Engineer
We are seeking a Principal Jetty/Coastal Engineer to support the lead engineer in preparing engineering deliverables within the assigned scope. The role requires subject matter expertise in a range of marine and coastal engineering tasks.
Responsibilities
- Collect and review surveys/data and perform Metocean Bathymetry, Onshore topography, Onshore/nearshore geotechnical/geophysical, Environmental baseline studies, and existing data reviews.
- Scope, specify, and commission studies; supervise and monitor progress.
- Interpret and determine design parameters for:
- Marine offloading facility optimization (dredging vs trestle vs causeway)
- No. of berths, orientation, product storage volume, mooring/berth availability, sediment transport/siltation, fast‑time navigation, real‑time navigation
- Bridge simulations and pilot training
- Remedial and design life‑extension projects
- Develop bases of design/specifications, preliminary and detailed design for permanent and temporary marine facilities: dredging, reclamation, fill, shore protection, breakwaters, mooring/berthing dolphins, gangways, cranes, navaids.
- Structural substructure, trestle, loading platforms, jetty head structures.
- Geotechnical investigations, piles, earthworks.
- Prepare commercial/contractual scopes of work, evaluate technical bids.
- Coordinate closely with clients and third‑party contractors, and work with project teams across global offices to meet deadlines and budgets.
Qualifications
- First or higher degree in Structural Engineering or Naval Architecture.
- Experience in conceptual, FEED, and detailed engineering of jetty and coastal structures.
- In‑depth knowledge of the latest revisions of applicable design codes.
- Strong ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Comfortable working both independently and in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Office‑based role.
