Senior Actuarial Manager
Salary £80,000 - £90,000
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Actuarial Manager to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract. This is a great opportunity for someone who has good technical experience to join our supportive and tenacious team as we look to improve our approach to Credit Risk modelling!
A bit about the job:
The role sits within our Group Actuarial & Capital Change (GACC) team who work on our Credit Risk Modelling program. The team is looking to improve our approach to Credit Risk modelling within the organisation to support both the capital held on our balance sheet and the price we charge for our Bulk Purchase Annuities.
You will model the drivers of credit risk at a more granular level to establishing the approach for the SCR, establishing calibrations and rationalizing risk factors / risk distributions, producing papers for expert panels, ensuring compliance with regulations including the impact of the Solvency UK reform.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
1. Qualified actuary with experience of modelling credit risks and annuity portfolios
2. Proven track record in technical actuarial roles e.g., actuarial function/calibration’s/MaiS
3. Ability to work independently
4. Confident to produce work of an appropriate standard for the PRA
5. Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to simplify and communicate complex information and tailor it to the needs of the audience

6. Starting salary between £80,000 and £90,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
