The role

Salary: £28,380 to £32,733 per annum, depending on experience
Hours: 35 hrs full time (although part time, min of 25 hrs per week will also be considered)
Place of work: Hybrid/Flexible/Hatfield (minimum of 12 in-person days per year required)
A DBS check is required for this role

Working with colleagues and volunteers, you’ll be delivering Crohn’s & Colitis UK’s peer support services to a high standard. This will involve recruiting volunteers for, and managing end-to-end delivery of the charity’s virtual social event programme, developing and updating resources for peer support volunteers, and coordinating, scheduling, promoting and delivering various virtual social events. You’ll be working closely with the Volunteer development team to train volunteer hosts for the Virtual Support Events programme, and will also work closely with the Communications and Digital teams to manage event listings, registration, and follow-up communications.


About you

We are looking for a strong team player who has prior experience of coordinating and delivering virtual support events, peer support services or activity. Experience of recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers or staff, coupled with strong IT skills including MS Office, CRM databases is essential. Ideally you’ll be adept at using Power BI (or the equivalent) in terms of data reporting and analysis. Strong interpersonal skills, with experience of coaching and supporting others is also a requirement for this role.

In this role, there is plenty of scope for a hybrid approach working from home, although there will be times when you will need to be at face‑to‑face meetings and on occasion, work evenings or weekends to support event delivery. There is a requirement for you to attend a minimum of 12 in‑person days a year, including the charity’s mandatory ‘All Staff Together’ days which take place four times a year at our offices in Hatfield or a location in London.
