As an integral member of the team, you will contribute to the provision of a quality catering service whilst adhering to health and safety standards. This is a busy role, supporting the preparation of meals for our Day and Boarding community using fresh and locally sourced ingredients. As Chef, you will p repare meals following recipe specification on quantity, portion and quality in a timely manner taking guidance and instruction from the Head and Senior Chef on meal preparation, production and service. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a real passion for cooking with fresh locally sourced produce, and will work positively with a professional team of Chefs, supporting and leading the junior members of the team. You will need to be organised, self-motivated and able to work well under pressure. You will possess a minimum Level 1 and Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering, and have a good standard of literacy and numeracy. A City and Guilds 706/1, 706/2 or NVQ equivalent is desirable. no split shifts and full Christmas and New Year break. Working to a rota system any 5 days out of 7, working some early mornings, evenings and weekends.
