As a 3.5T Delivery Driver based in Basildon youll be responsible for:
* Driving a 3.5T van to deliver plumbing and heating supplies mainly within a 80 mile radius of the branch.
* On average 8 deliveries which will vary day to day. Mainly to new build construction sites but also residential customers and other businesses.
* Carrying out vehicle checks.
* Loading and unloading deliveries, which involves manual handling of heavy items such as boilers, radiators, toilets and sinks.
* Assisting in the warehouse if back from deliveries early with unloading stock, picking & packing orders, stock checks and general tidying.
This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week (some flexibility may be available on hours). Monday to Friday between 07.30 - 17:00. Saturday working is required 08:00-12:00 noon on a rota basis, which is paid as overtime.
And heres what wed like you to have:
* Full UK Manual Driving Licence
* Previous multidrop driving is preferred
* Excellent communication skills
* Basic computer skills and familiarity with PDA devices
* To be a team player who is happy to assist in the warehouse to ensure the smooth running of the branch
* Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic
