The School of Arts and Humanities is seeking an IT Technician to join the School-wide IT team. The team provides a friendly and efficient support service to institutions and complements local IT resources. You will be the first point of contact for IT support in all aspects of computing and AV.
Overview
This role is ideal for someone already working in IT at the University of Cambridge and familiar with University systems. The position requires strong customer service skills, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well in a team. Understanding a range of operating systems—including Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS clients—is essential. Candidates should be educated to A-Level standard or with equivalent understanding and skills.
Responsibilities
* Act as the first point of contact for IT support for the School-wide IT team.
* Provide efficient and friendly support to institutions and local IT resources.
* Support a variety of faculty and services within the University, including Modern & Medieval Languages, Linguistics, Classics, AMES, and Divinity.
* Collaborate with other faculties and services to enhance IT service delivery.
Qualifications
* Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
* Experience working in IT at the University of Cambridge and knowledge of University systems.
* Familiarity with a range of operating systems: Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS.
* Education to A-Level standard or equivalent.
