Purpose & Scope of the Role This role is designed for a proven bid professional who can take full ownership of strategic and complex submissions from initial qualification through to final delivery. You will shape high‑quality, compliant, and persuasive proposals that demonstrate a deep understanding of client needs, market drivers, and technical delivery. Working closely with senior leaders, technical specialists, marketing teams, and business development colleagues, you will coordinate multidisciplinary inputs, craft clear and compelling narratives, and ensure the final submission reflects a strong value proposition and competitive advantage. The role sits within a central bid team of up to six colleagues and spans multiple disciplines across the UK and Ireland, including planning, environment, design, engineering, transport, energy, buildings, and infrastructure. You will lead bids often valued at over £1 million, partnering with contributors from across regions and external organisations. You will manage governance, planning, and quality assurance processes and act as a subject matter expert for bidding best practice across the organisation.
