THE OPPORTUNITY – NUI ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe operation of electrical equipment and conducting planned/unplanned maintenance while following established procedures.
Duration: Staff role
Location: Offshore. This role operates on a rotational pattern of 2 weeks on / 3 weeks off.

You will be accountable for:
* Intervention Operations - As an employed Intervention Electrical Technician you will be mobilising daily as part of the ERT & maintenance team to the various Normally Unmanned Installations (NUIs), via Helicopter transfer from the Central Processing Complex, where you will be expected to operate and carry out duties as defined below and those deemed necessary by the NUI OIM responsible. As an NUI Electrical Technician, you will be EXPECTED to operate with minimal supervision and utilising one’s own initiative & within the confines of procedural requirement.
* Electrical Maintenance - Maintain safety electrical equipment to design and performance standards, conduct planned and unplanned maintenance, repair and replacement activities on the offshore electrical systems, according to the work programme & maintenance planning.
* Inspections and Calibration - Carry out planned inspections, identify problems and take corrective action as needed in compliance with operating procedures, HSEQ policies and other rules and legislation. Perform test routines on assigned electrical systems
* Detailed Work Planning - Prioritize and plan own planned and unplanned maintenance activities
* Material Requisition - Identify replacement materials and other items that needs to be requisitioned.
* Administration - Complying with Maintenance Excellence 7-step standard you will administer work orders and, maintenance activities, system modifications and other relevant information in the employed MMS (SAP) in line with operating procedures and formats, to ensure the availability and accuracy of information during maintenance or modification activities and comply with legislation and HSEQ standards.
* Health, Safety, Environment and Quality - Comply with HSEQ procedures, rules and regulations and contribute to building awareness among other personnel in- and outside the department, to maintain and continuously improve a safe and healthy working environment.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Current valid Offshore Survival, Offshore Medical & MIST, Offshore First Aid and HV Switching.
* Vocational training/education within Electrical Engineering
* A minimum of 5 years of electrical offshore experience in the E&P industry
* Proven experience working with HV switchgear
* Good communication and organisational skills.
