Job overview
We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, motivated, and confident Service Manager for a medium secure unit at the Trevor Gibbens Unit in Maidstone. The Service Manager will oversee the management of the wards and the Forensic Outreach Liaison Service (FOLS). Working collaboratively with relevant teams, they will ensure excellent clinical, operational, and financial outcomes, facilitating seamless patient pathways and service user engagement.
The Service Manager will utilize data and analysis to support improved patient outcomes, coordinate initiatives for service improvements, and actively pursue the best outcomes for patients and carers. They will also identify opportunities for service growth and seek support from the General Manager to maximize these opportunities. Deputising for the General Manager when required will also be part of their responsibilities.
Main duties of the job
Collaborate with professional heads and the General Manager to ensure the quality of clinical services, including patient safety, satisfaction, and clinical outcomes, meet high standards. This includes investigating serious incidents, handling complaints, staffing issues, staff appraisals, supervision, training, and mandatory reporting.
Work closely with Team Managers and other professionals to ensure effective care pathways with regular reviews, enabling the delivery of strategic and operational plans.
