Priory Hospital Ticehurst is looking to recruit a Psychologist/Therapy lead to join the team. This is a full time/37.5 Hour role.

Priory Hospital Ticehurst House's Highlands Unit is a welcoming, nine-bed facility, offering person-centred care, treatment and support for adults facing mental health challenges.

Highlands is situated in a character building, within our extensive main grounds, in the beautiful East Sussex countryside. We can support people with a range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, stress and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).


What you'll be doing


You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients

* Lead and oversee the delivery of comprehensive psychological services, providing expert clinical guidance and supervision to a team of therapists and mental health professionals.
* Conduct advanced psychological assessments, formulate individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to a diverse client population.
* Develop, implement, and continuously improve therapy programs and clinical protocols to enhance treatment outcomes and service efficiency.
* Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, external agencies, and stakeholders to ensure integrated care, promote mental health awareness, and influence service development.
* Manage clinical risk assessments and ensure adherence to ethical, legal, and professional standards in all psychological practices.
* Drive staff development by organizing training sessions, workshops, and reflective practice groups to maintain a high level of clinical competence and team morale.

What you'll bring to the role

The ideal candidate will be a qualified and registered psychologist with significant clinical experience, ideally in a leadership or supervisory role. Proven expertise in delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions and conducting complex psychological assessments is essential. Strong knowledge of mental health frameworks, risk management, and multidisciplinary collaboration is required. Excellent communication and organizational skills, along with a commitment to professional development and ethical practice, are essential to succeed in this role.
