Your Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the daily running of a designated room or age group, ensuring high standards of care, learning, and safety.
Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS.
Support and mentor team members to promote best practice and professional growth.
Build strong, positive relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues.
Ensure the individual needs of every child are met through effective key person practice.
Assist the Nursery Manager with compliance, safeguarding, and health & safety responsibilities.
Maintain accurate records of children’s progress, development, and wellbeing.
Create a stimulating, inclusive environment where children can thrive emotionally, socially, and cognitively.
What We’re Looking For
Minimum Level 3 Childcare qualification (or equivalent).
Proven experience in a Senior Practitioner or Room Leader role.
In-depth knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
A caring, positive, and proactive approach to supporting children’s development.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
