The role also offers a technical framework allowance and disruption allowance, which you can apply for after completing training and meeting the technical criteria. As a fully trained property specialist by the second year, you may earn up to £53,524, excluding overtime or on-call payments.
Flexible working: This role is primarily office-based. Once qualified, flexible or compressed hours may be considered depending on training and business needs.

The Role
As a Maintenance Carpenter, you will handle maintenance, repair, and construction within secure facilities, including infrastructure hardening and bespoke space creation. Responsibilities include creating technical drawings, selecting materials, and performing tasks to high standards while following strict security protocols.
Occasionally, you may be deployed within the UK for intelligence operations, utilizing your trade skills to contribute directly to national security.
This is mainly a Monday to Friday role with early starts, occasional evening work, and possible short-term or overseas deployments. Overtime and on-call payments are provided for extra hours.
About You
You should have a City & Guilds Level 2, BTEC, NVQ, or equivalent in Carpentry and Joinery, and be comfortable with hand and power tools. You must have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a proactive, adaptable approach. Good problem-solving skills are essential.
You need a full UK driving license for travel, and must maintain fitness levels. Basic IT literacy and report writing skills are also required.
Training and Development
