We're looking for a Service Coordinator to join our Transportation team on our A417 project based in Gloucester, on a 12-month fixed-term basis. The role involves the overall management of underground and overhead service protection across the A417 major project.

Contract: 12-month fixed-term, full-time
Salary: Up to £57,000 per annum + £5.9k car allowance + benefits
Responsibilities
As a Service Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the permit system, coordinating between Kier staff, supply chain, and utility providers. This is a fixed-term 12-month contract with the possibility of extension depending on project needs.
Your daily tasks will include:
1. Managing the permits system for overhead and underground services, coordinating between Kier, supply chain teams, and utility construction managers, and providing recent utility plans and service diagrams for requested excavations.
2. Assisting authorized persons, supervisors, and excavation teams in interpreting service drawings, ensuring understanding of service diagrams, and compliance with service standards.
3. Acting as a liaison with service providers for site or transient location issues, reviewing utility record drawings against PAS128A data and as-built information to ensure permit accuracy.
4. Authorizing permits to break ground, ensuring all relevant information and controls are documented before excavation, and maintaining electronic records throughout the project.
5. Maintaining records of authorized personnel for audits, notifying service providers of any discrepancies in drawings, and ensuring adherence to Kier’s HSE standards.
What are we looking for?
This role is ideal if you have:
* SMSTS certification
* Either Service Avoidance (Cat 1 & 2) or NVQ Level 2 in utility avoidance and buried services, plus EUSR Cat 2
* CSCS card – Managers and Professionals
