Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive IT Support professional to join our dynamic Educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support to our users, ensuring that all IT systems operate smoothly and efficiently, with the support of our service provider. To also lead Computing lessons following a well planned curriculum across key stages. This role requires a strong understanding of computer networking, software troubleshooting, and more importantly working with vulnerable children.
Responsibilities
* To lead IT lessons using a well planned curriculum.
* To work as part of a Therapeutic Community.
* To Provide first-line technical support for hardware and software issues with the support of our local provider.
* Troubleshoot and resolve software problems, ensuring minimal disruption to users with support.
* Assist with developing IT within the school.
* Maintain and monitor local area networks (LAN) to ensure optimal performance..
* Communicate effectively with users to understand their issues and provide clear instructions for resolution.
* Conduct regular maintenance on computer hardware and operating systems to prevent issues before they arise.
* Collaborate with other IT staff to implement new technologies and improve existing systems.
* To support other teachers in lessons.
Skills
* Able to lead IT lessons and assess learning for next steps.
* Support other lessons as a Teaching assistant support.
* Proficient in computer networking principles and practices.
* Strong experience in software troubleshooting across various operating systems.
* Excellent communication skills and able to work effectively as part of a team.
* Able to support children educationally and emotionally.
* Aware and able to follow safe guarding procedures.
