What Youll Be Doing As an Apprentice Payroll Administrator, you will receive structured training while supporting the delivery of payroll services for a wide range of clients. Key responsibilities include: Assisting in the processing of weekly and monthly payrolls for client businesses Calculating and apportioning gross pay Learning National Minimum Wage rules Understanding National Insurance and PAYE tax calculations Helping prepare statutory payments (SSP, SMP, etc.) Supporting the administration of pension deductions and automatic enrolment Assisting with year-end payroll processes and statutory reporting Maintaining accurate employee payroll records Providing friendly and professional client support Working closely with senior payroll staff to learn end-to-end payroll processes Full training will be provided, and responsibilities will grow as your competence develops. Training & Qualification You will be enrolled in theCIPP Level 3 Payroll Technician Certificate, a 26-week online qualification covering: Gross pay calculation National Minimum Wage NI and Tax Statutory payments Child-related statutory payments Deductions and payroll obligations Payroll compliance and legislation Course fees are fully paid by LMC Chartered Accountants. You will be given dedicated study time, mentoring and support throughout the apprenticeship. What Were Looking For You dont need prior payroll experience just the right attitude and willingness to learn.
