Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Data Engineer, located in Cardiff. The Senior Data Engineer will design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines, ensure effective data modeling, and implement robust Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes. The role involves working with data warehousing and analytics tools to support business intelligence initiatives, optimize performance, and enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Qualifications
* Proficient in Data Engineering, from designing efficient data systems to maintaining and improving existing pipelines.
* Strong understanding of Data Modeling techniques and principles to structure data for enhanced accessibility and usability.
* Hands-on experience in Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes to manage and streamline data transformation tasks.
* Expertise in Data Warehousing and Data Analytics to organize large datasets and extract actionable insights.
* Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other programming languages commonly used in data engineering.
* Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and related services.
* Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or related field.
* Experience in the business intelligence or analytics industry is a plus.
