Overview
The aim of the Melody Care Home Care team is to provide care and support for those people who wish to remain independent in their own home at times convenient to them and in ways they find agreeable that fully meet their desired outcomes.
PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT OFFER THE CERTIFICATE OF SPONSORSHIP AND YOU NEED TO BE A CAR DRIVER WITH ACCESS TO YOUR OWN CAR.
Responsibilities
* Assistance with daily living activities such as:
o Getting Up / Going to bed
o Dressing and Undressing
o Washing, bathing, grooming (personal hygiene)
o Eating & Drinking (Nutrition) - preparing and serving meals
o Using the toilet, maintaining continence, managing incontinence
o Moving and transferring
o Tooth and Denture Care
o Checking spectacles and hearing aids
o Help during the night - settling down service, terminal night care
o Sleeping night duty
o Waking night duty
* Health-related tasks that the Client would normally take responsibility for, e.g. maintaining medical regime, catheter and stoma care, prevention of pressure sores, sight loss, and reporting significant changes in clients’ wishes, condition or environment to the Branch team immediately.
* Domestic Service:
o Light house cleaning duties
o Laundry and ironing
o Meal preparation
o Shopping and errands
* Social and Emotional Support:
o Promote a sense of wellbeing
o Meet emotional needs
o Mobility and Transport
o Company, Conversation and Listening
* Mobility and Transport and related requirements:
* a vehicle, with a current, clean driving licence, MOT and insurance that states the Professional Carer is covered for 'Business purposes'
