Salary: Up to £55,869, based on your skills and experience.
Your Mission:
As a Senior Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in driving financial performance and supporting our Site Operations. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
* Monitor and Analyze: Keep a close eye on the financial performance of Site Operations, providing independent financial insights and regular reviews with senior stakeholders.
* Deliver Management Reporting: Ensure accurate and consistent reporting for Site Operations, including stock and labor hours analysis.
* Support Business Planning: Collaborate with the Cost Performance Lead to develop a five-year Integrated Business Plan, including labor rate calculations.
* Financial Preparation: Prepare monthly accruals, prepayments, and journal corrections, while raising purchase requisitions to support various activities.
* Ensure Compliance: Uphold financial controls, policies, and procedures, and assist with internal and external audits.
* Engage Stakeholders: Help business stakeholders understand financial information, including forecasting and key metric analysis.
* Promote Best Practices: Advocate for standardization and continuous improvement, sharing insights across the FP&A team.
* Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with finance teams across sites and disciplines to communicate financial performance and key metrics.
Your Skills and Experiences:
Essential:
* Proven experience in management accounting and FP&A, including budgeting, forecasting, and operational cost analysis.
* Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and data manipulation.
* Ability to effectively communicate with non-financial stakeholders, translating complex financial information into clear insights.
Desirable:
* Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA).
* Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment, supporting operational and financial processes.
* Proficiency with ERP systems, such as SAP or Oracle, for reporting and financial management.

About the Cost Performance Team:
The Cost Performance team is part of the FP&A function within Munitions Finance, managing costs across our Land UK manufacturing sites. We collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, and Project Management to provide financial analysis that supports effective decision-making.
This role oversees finance for small arms ammunition production, offering you the chance to contribute to a dynamic and growing part of our business.
