We are seeking a dedicated Supported Housing Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to residents within supported housing environments. This position involves working closely with individuals to promote independence, ensure safety, and facilitate access to community resources. Responsibilities
* Act as the primary point of contact for residents, offering guidance and support tailored to their individual needs.
* Assist residents in managing their tenancy agreements and resolving any issues related to housing or personal welfare.
* Negotiate with external agencies, service providers, and landlords to secure appropriate services and resolve disputes effectively.
* Maintain accurate records of resident interactions, support plans, and progress using Yardi or similar property management systems.
* Organise and facilitate regular meetings with residents to review their support plans and address any concerns.
* Promote resident independence by encouraging engagement with community activities and accessing relevant services.
* Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the supported housing environment.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of policies aimed at improving service delivery.
Experience
* Previous experience working within supported housing or social care settings is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
* Strong negotiation skills are essential for liaising effectively with residents, external agencies, and service providers.
* Familiarity with Yardi or similar property management software is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be available for successful applicants.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
* Compassionate approach with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
